When following the 4-Step Protocol, it’s important to treat the entire area such as a muscle and connect both sides.
Treat the Entire Muscle
Always consider the anatomy and don’t just treat part of the muscle. Treat the opposite side even if it is asymptomatic.
Connect Both Sides
Connecting both sides lets the current pass through the nerves involved in the injury. The current will track up the nerve back through to the spine. At this point, we have treated the peripheral nervous system and included part of the central nervous system with the spine.
