Candidiasis
Causes
Candida is a type of yeast that is usually kept under control and therefore doesn’t cause any problems in the body. However, certain factors can cause this fungus to multiply rapidly and produce toxins, attacking the immune system and damaging healthy cells in the body by depriving them of oxygen. The major cause of candidiasis is a compromised immune system, this can be due to: antibiotics or other drugs killing gut flora; malnutrition such as an excess of carbs and acidic foods or a lack of enzymes and iodine; insufficient vitamin D and melatonin; too much stress and emotional strain; irregular sugar and insulin levels and smoking. Other factors include too much dietary glucose and parasitic infection through eating undercooked meat, drinking infected water or from soil. Candida thrives in tissues and ductal structures that are acidic and repel oxygen, allowing for fermentation to take place.
Symptoms
Genital candidiasis can cause genital pain, itching and inflammation, as well as thick vaginal discharge. Candida in the mouth (thrush) can cause white patches on the tongue and cheeks and sore, red skin in the mouth and throat. Someone with candidiasis will likely have a history of taking antibiotics and may have other symptoms such as irregular menstruation, endometriosis, irritation from perfume and smoke, problematic bowel movements, prostate inflammation, aching muscles, spots over the eyes and feeling spaced out. They may also be showing signs of parasitic infection.

Other therapies
An anti-candida diet can be used where the diet is mainly composed of vegetables and healthy fats and no sugary foods are consumed. Quitting smoking and avoiding passive smoking is an important step. Detoxification is vital and making time for regular sessions of vigorous exercise will help the body to do this. Getting a decent amount of good-quality sleep will optimise melatonin production in the body.
Experiences and case studies
A woman in her 60s had been showing symptoms of lactose intolerance for 4 years; she had already received treatment for candida in the form of the antibiotic nystatin and diet changes. These only brought temporary improvement. After just 3 sessions of candida bioresonance treatment and 4 weeks of building up the intestinal flora, lactose no longer tested and products containing it could be eaten without any problems.
