Information — the universal building block of the Universe?
Hans Brugemann, founder REGUMED
Dear congress participants,
For the participants who have just started using the bioresonance method, here are a few words about me. At the start of the bioresonance method there were three people involved.
First, it was Dr. Morell, who had the ingenious idea to use the body’s own vibrations for diagnosis and therapy; then the technician Erich Rasche, who developed the first device (the MORA device) for bioresonance therapy; and, finally, I was the one who took up the method, let it evolve, and made its known worldwide. I led the bioresonance methodology movement for almost 40 years.
In 2015, at the age of 90, I switched from management to retirement. Last year my topic was:
A Bridge Between Quantum Physics and Bioresonance Therapy
The quintessence of my presentation two years ago was the recommendation to add the term information to the name of our method. Making the new name
Bioresonance Information Method (BIM)
The addition of the term information is intended to replace the less pertinent term “electromagnetic oscillations” which we had thus far used to explain the principle of how it works.
Thus, the term INFORMATION is of central importance for explaining the principles of the bioresonance method. That is why I would like to shed more light on Prof. Zeilinger’s far-reaching statements.
Two important quotes from Prof. Zeilinger on this topic led me to choose them as the topic of today’s paper. Here is the first one:
“Matter is always the same. All electrons are equal to each other. All have the same elemental properties. You can exchange them as you like. It, therefore, all depends only on the information we have before us.”
And then the highly significant statement: “Information is the universal building block of matter.”
It’s only eight words, but the statement is of paramount importance.
“Information is the universal building block of matter.”
Once you have fully grasped this research result of quantum physics, it changes your view of the world, including that of classical physics.
The term building block is used here as a metaphor. The term information has many meanings. First of all, what it is not should be made clear. Science stands on the three pillars of matter, energy, and information. Information is neither matter nor energy.
What view of the term information could connect it to its role as “the universal building block of the universe?”
These are central statements for bioresonance users; because, for the subjects that we work with — the body- and substance-specific vibrations — there has since been no place in the field of physics.
Theoretical explanation for the fundamentals of the bioresonance method can now —just as when I quoted them last year — be given by the statements of famous quantum physicists.
Now we come to the term INFORMATION, which has been assigned an almost unimaginable meaning. The aim of my paper is to add a little more reality to the term INFORMATION as used in this sense; to prompt you to imagine the effects of these research results and to better understand them. Finally, I will dare to try “to look behind the scenes”.
This paper addresses the meaning of the term “information” as used by Professor Zeilinger. What should information effect? I would like to try to show the consequences that follow from the sentence below.
“It all depends on the information we have before us.”
If we consider any of the things “that we have before us”, they all have a form. Everything that exists has a form. The form is indissoluble in dead and living matter. How would we be able to see something if it had no form? Even flowing liquids have a shape at any given time.
Incidentally, the origin of the word information points in the same direction. Information: from the Latin informare, to shape, form, mould.
The varied information is conveyed by vibrations (i.e. frequencies and frequency characteristics). In all living things, there is an unimaginable amount of different frequencies and characteristic vibrations.
Let’s take a look at two different areas that are shaped by information.
1. Man-made inanimate matter.
2. The forms and functions of all biological systems. From unicellular organisms to plants, animals, and humans.
Now, I want to pursue the following question:
Who or what provides the formative information?
First, let’s discuss inanimate matter. All man-made matter is subject to the law that information is the universal building block of matter; and the word “building block” is, of course, a metaphor here.
The creation of a form requires an idea — an idea of what is to be created. Here’s an example. What happens when a sculptor wants to create a sculpture? Can he just take a hammer and a chisel and get started, or does he first have to create an original copy of what he wants to shape in his head?
So where does the formative information for inanimate objects originate? Undoubtedly, in the consciousness of the creator. For a while, this idea is neither visible nor perceptible to others.
It emerges as a visionary concept and consolidates more and more until it finally enters into visible reality through the physical creation process. Man as the designer, as the creator of the information that gives objects forms and functions.
Since Prof. Zeilinger has chosen a hamburger and a cup of coffee as examples, we can be sure that the term information is interpreted correctly in this sense.
First, the forms are designed and then, through use, functions are added. Examples: cutlery, a coffee machine, a car, a BICOM device. As long as the objects are unused, we only have the forms. Only through use do we activate the unseen functions that belong to the forms solely as ideas. An unused BIOCOM device exists only in form. The ideas for its possible functions remain unseen in the background. Its function is not activated until the therapist determines the parameters and starts the therapy.
This is now conceivable: the human mind as the creator of forms and, through the use of those forms, the creator of functions as well. It has gone this way with everything that humans have created.
So much for the things that were created by man.
Here, we make a transition to now discuss things that humans create and then turn over to an agent, who determines the processes in biological systems: When a child is conceived, man is still the cause, he can decide to initiate the process that starts that new life. But then he has to just let it happen; he is no longer the cause of the forms and functions that are now emerging. For that, we must turn to the biological systems — living matter.
The biological systems: microorganisms, plants, animals, and humans.
Here, we are in the field of life, the field of living matter (e.g., single-cell organisms, plants, animals, and humans).
The following statement applies to living matter as well:
It all depends on the information we have before us.
So what are the forces that shape the forms and functions of living matter?
Is it the quantum field, which corresponds to the term “force” in classical physics and in which the forms and functions are stored?
How could we — in terms of nature, life, and humanity — form a picture of this “causative information”?
Are there indications of the forces that determine the forms and functions?
Rudolf Steiner, who founded anthroposophy and anthroposophic medicine among other things, gave a lecture on the “cosmic powers of formation” in 1921 and explained that “the forces working out of the earth and the environment shape the forms“.
I think this statement comes very close to the term “information” in the sense that it is considered here.
The research results of Prof. Fritz Popp, who gave a lecture in 1980 during our second bioresonance congress on Lake Ramberg, give us important information on the workings of the creative forces.
In 1975, his colleague Ruth provided evidence of radiation in cells. Living cells can store and radiate light (photons). Biophotons are light particles that are present in the living cells of plants, animals, and humans.
Biophotons regulate cell growth. They provide for the exchange of information between the cells and they control biochemical processes.
The DNA acts as sender and receiver. The DNA is the information centre of the cell. There is an unimaginable amount of information in all living beings. Quote from Prof. Popp:
“It would take a library of ten thousand books to store the same amount of information that is included as genetic information in DNA.”
The research results of Prof. Popp and his colleagues have been extremely helpful in providing a credible explanation for the effects of bioresonance. Prof. Popp and Dr. Morell, by the way, announced their findings and/or research results around the same time.
Now, with the research results of quantum physics and the research of Prof. Popp, we have reached the limits of the researchable knowledge about the functions of “Information as a universal building block of the universe”. Are there still ways to give us a further picture of how information works?
The Konigsberg philosopher Immanuel Kant (1724 – 1804) made a momentous statement. One of his major works is the “Critique of Pure Reason”.
This “critique” also offers a demarcation between the knowable and the unknowable. The limit of the knowable would be “knowledge mediated by sensibility” and “knowledge without sensory perception is not possible”. What is meant is that true knowledge is only possible where one can look, touch, measure, etc.
Now to offer a wide-ranging premise of Kant: No one can ever know the unknowable.
What is meant here is the mysterious — that which is not obvious, that which is not directly visible or tangible.
This is a momentous statement that still marks the limits of the natural sciences today — and medicine is proud to be part of the natural sciences. Apparently, classical science still essentially agrees with the premise of Emanuel Kant: “Knowledge without sensory perception is not possible”.
That is precisely why the bioresonance method is not recognized by conventional medicine.
People often point to the need for a paradigm shift in science and, thus, in medicine.
The scientist and well-known author Rupert Sheldrake comprehensively substantiated this with his book, “The Science Delusion. Why Materialism Has Had Its Day” (2012). He also shakes the boundaries of natural science in his other books. Rupert Sheldrake is a biologist. He taught, amongst other things, at Cambridge University. He has published over ten books.
One important statement by Sheldrake is: “The laws of classical physics have been rewritten in light of quantum physics.” And another: “The mechanistic theory of nature is too narrow-gauge.” He convincingly argues that a paradigm shift is urgently needed, because the natural sciences are too limited by their previous paradigm.
Dr. Gunther S. Hanzl, BICOM therapist by the way, points in the same direction with his book: “The New medical Paradigm. Theory and Practice of an Expanded Scientific Concept”.
Obviously, we have gone beyond the limits of current science with the bioresonance method. On more than one occasion, doctors have told me later, after having become bioresonance practitioners, about the Saul-Paul experience that they had during one of my introductory seminars. During the seminar they had made the leap beyond the limits of materialistic science to a new, higher level of science.
In 1981, Rupert Sheldrake introduced the idea of the morphic field in his book titled “The Creative Universe. The Theory of the Morphogenetic Field”.
Sheldrake, thus, postulates the existence of a morphic field. The term “morpho” comes from the Greek and means form, shape, appearance.
Here is the key message from Rupert Sheldrake, who gives us an idea of how information shapes living nature:
The morphic field is an extended pattern — an invisible design — that contains all individual forms and functions.
One could also formulate that there is a kind of “memory of nature” in the morphic field.
Assuming that Sheldrake comes close to the truth with his theory of the morphic field — and there are many indications of this — we are able to get an idea of where the invisible information for the forms and functions of life are “archived” and can go from there.
Since the information for the forms and functions has been undoubtedly stored extremely stably in the morphic field over an immeasurably large period of time, we can be sure that we cannot inadvertently modify this information with the BICOM bioresonance therapy.
A bee is still a bee and builds its honeycomb just as always. Is it not true that the form of a cat and how it moves and maintains itself has remained unchanged over an extremely long period of time. An elephant is still an elephant and has a trunk. This proves the very high stability of these invisible blueprints. It gives us great confidence in the ubiquity of the shaping forces. Especially with regards to our method. Without these blueprints, we would not have a chance at making even a single patient healthy.
I could imagine — and there are many arguments in favour — that if the therapy type “H” is activated on the BICOM device, then solely the formative forces from the morphic field are directed at the patient; thus, promoting the patient’s recovery.
We can not change this very stable information from the morphic field; we can only temporarily increase or decrease its influence on the patient. This gives us the certainty that we will not harm the patient in the long run.
The pathological information is an “addition” and is reduced to zero using the therapy types Ai or Di.
The idea for the H + Di separator came from Ludwig Mersmann, who studied biophysics in Marburg with Prof. Popp. He has described in detail the dynamic interaction between physiological and pathological therapies during H + Di therapy. It would go beyond the scope of this paper to elaborate on this. It could, however, be the subject of a later paper.
Even in terminally ill patients, the pattern forms and pattern functions are unchanged and are completely present as information. But their formative “power” is overlapped and blocked by pathological information.
We must inevitably assume that powerful, higher-level postulates were stored in the morphic field a long, long time ago.
Now the question arises: Who made these postulates upon which life is based, upon which information as formative forms and functions is ultimately based?
This is the most extensive question about the origin of life.
There must be an intelligent designer, a conscious and willing creator.
It is a philosophical/religious question: how close can we come to the truth?
Again, I do not want to follow Kant’s premise that “no one can ever know the unknowable”; because even in this case, I do not want to accept a given limit. The possibility for the enhancement of awareness should be given a chance. Those who look for themselves have the chance to expand their own awareness.
Thank you for your attention.
