Insights from research and practice
Hans Brügemann, Gräfelfing
Because I am looking at a variety of different aspects in my presentation, I will firstly give you a brief overview of what to expect.
1. Significance of the bioresonance method today
2. Scientific work on the phenomena of electromagnetic oscillations in organisms
3. New books on the bioresonance method in German and English
4. New forum for all members of the Bioresonance Method International Medical Working Group
5. All Congress papers from the past 25 years together on one CD
6. New software programs
7. Summary and outlook
Dear Congress participants,
It is some 35 years since I first started publicising the bioresonance method back in 1978. So how much progress has been made since then?
1. Significance of the bioresonance method today
Selected quotes from a text published in the Medical Tribune help shed light on its significance.
In the German-speaking world alone some 4,429 doctors and 2,228 naturopaths work with the bioresonance method. 884 practices have several BICOM® devices in operation. Some of these therapists have been working with BICOM® bioresonance for more than 20 years. There are more than 30 studies on the BICOM® bioresonance method, with varying levels of evidence, including 10 studies with a level of evidence of 1.
There are practices in 91 countries around the world working with the BICOM® bioresonance method.
What was the background to this text being published in the German Medical Tribune?
An old article written by a number of professors was (as is the case every year during the pollen season) pulled from the archives and (inadvertently?) published.
This article disputed the efficacy of the bioresonance method. We subsequently placed an advertisement, from which you have heard certain excerpts.
The spread of BICOM® bioresonance therapy is something of a paradox. One dictionary definition of a paradox is: “A seemingly absurd or contradictory statement or proposition which when investigated may prove to be well founded or true.” The paradox is this:
The bioresonance method is so effective that it makes it more difficult to accept???
2. Scientific work on the phenomena of electromagnetic oscillations in organisms
Time and again we discover scientific work which provides evidence of the existence and significance of ultra-weak oscillations. I would like to cite one piece of work in particular as an example. A publication that fully recognises and values the existence of ubiquitous regulation systems in the form of oscillations in living organisms appeared in the most prominent of all scientific journals, NATURE, in volume 410, pages 277-284 in 2001. In addition to this, it recognises the extraordinary significance of these oscillations in respect of health and disease (Leon Glas, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec).
It is a well-known fact that it can take generations for new findings, which do not reflect traditional medical thinking, to be accepted in official teaching.
3. New books on the bioresonance method in German and English
Most German-speaking participants will know that there is now a series of books available specifically on the subject of bioresonance therapy. The following have been published to date:
• Dr. med. Jürgen Hennecke: Bioresonanz: Eine neue Sicht der Medizin (also available in English: Bioresonance: a new view of medicine)
• Dr. med. Peter Schumacher: Biophysikalische Diagnose und Therapie der Allergien [Biophysical Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergies] (revised and updated version)
• Dr. med. vet. Jochen Becker: Neue Wege der Diagnose und Therapie in der Veterinärmedizin [New Means of Diagnosis and Treatment in Veterinary Medicine]
Whilst satisfying exacting criteria, these books are also consciously written with the interested layperson in mind.
Whenever you come across sceptical patients or colleagues, these books provide comprehensive information and save time on verbal explanations that have less plausibility than the written word.
4. New forum for all members of the Bioresonance Method International Medical Working Group
We set up a forum last year for members of the International Medical Working Group for the Bioresonance Method which enables each member to post questions or input findings etc. It was aimed at encouraging communication between members.
Somewhat surprisingly, very little use has been made of it. Can this perhaps be explained by the fact that our range of seminars and advisory services mean there is little need for further assistance?
5. All Congress papers from the past 25 years on one CD
To mark the 25th anniversary of the BICOM® bioresonance method we put together a CD containing all the Congress papers delivered during this time. The fact that it holds all the papers, including diagrams and tables in one place, is just one aspect.
The fact that with a few clicks of the mouse all references to a chosen key word can be located in a matter of seconds, makes this document a type of compendium of the BICOM® bioresonance method. And it is not just restricted to the bioresonance method; it also includes the broad-ranging area of naturopathy. With just a few clicks of the mouse it is also possible to find all topics covered by a particular speaker.
6. New software programs
At the last Congress I made reference to new software programs available. These programs have since been fully tested. All variables have been included, such as:
• Different operating systems: WinXP, Win7, Win8
• Operating systems in different languages
• Compatibility with different versions of BICOM BICOM optima® and BICOM 2000
• Integration of Multisoft Test 2.0 and Pilot 2.0 and SD 1 operating program
• New functions offering additional new options which needed to be fully programmed and tested.
One new feature is that all 15 CTT test sets can be input into one computer and all functions can be selected with just a few mouse clicks. The benefits are obvious:
• The process of removing and sorting ampoules is now redundant. Instead the ampoules are activated in one mouse click and moved into the cup.
• A programmed test system makes testing easier (this function does not replace the benefits of a CTT test seminar, however).
• All test procedures for a particular patient are automatically documented.
• Individual allocation of different ampoules to multiple successive programs (no need to switch during breaks).
• Warning messages before actions which are not recommended for therapy (particularly beneficial for beginners).
• Option to call up testing at any time.
• Quick testing using the foot switch on the BICOM® device.
7. Summary and outlook
All these advances are thanks to you and all those who have spent more than three decades on research and have willingly made their experiences and findings available to all colleagues.
In German-speaking countries the concept of the ‘bioresonance method’ is now well established. Millions of users have either experienced our method for themselves or have heard about it from friends and acquaintances.
The bioresonance method can indeed make a major contribution towards helping people across the globe rid themselves of troublesome medical conditions and symptoms, particularly those caused by modern environmental factors.
